The reason for my approach was to treat the design with care and respect relying on a short design process to carry the whole project from start to finish. My work normally involves me all the way through to final prototype, making subtle changes along the way. Now I had to make sure that what was conceived was to be the final solution as well. This made me realise the importance of being honest from day one of the design process since it has permanent effect on the object itself. I worked the plastecine the way

I remember working with it as a kid. You start of by forming a ball, then roll a sausage shape and tap the ends on the table to form two flat surfaces. I then dragged out a tripod to create a stable surface. I attempted to only use a process inherent to the material hoping the 3d scanning would pick up on the subtleties. It made me remember the satisfying feeling of a spontaneous process, and then happily, relying on the quick result being the final result.

From an environmental point of view it makes the point that what ever we do it has long-term consequences, so by involving the projects into a well considered thought process, we give the objects a more valid reason to exist.
